Streaks and PointsBet Partnership: New Ways to Play

Streaks is excited to announce a partnership with PointsBet, an innovator in the sports gaming market. Like Streaks, PointsBet deviates from traditional sportsbooks by offering players the opportunity to be rewarded on a curve for how well they can predict game outcomes. Also, like Streaks, PointsBet goes beyond the basic box score with statistics like player shooting percentages, the distance of longest field goal made, and time of the first score.

PointsBet offers traditional fixed odds betting, as well as their new style of wagering, which they call "PointsBetting." With PointsBetting, players can win more money for every point that a game goes over or under a fixed total, which changes the payout up until the last second of a game and makes every moment exciting. For example, if you wager $10 on "over 200 points" in a basketball game, and the final score is 108-107 (215 total), your payout will be your $10 wager multiplied by 15 points over the fixed total of 200, for a $150 yield.

PointsBet was launched in Australia in 2017 but has positioned itself to capitalize on the growing American market, opening PointsBet New Jersey in 2019 and expanding to other states. In 2020, PointsBet agreed to a five-year deal to be the exclusive provider of odds, props, and trends with NBC Sports. The NBC Sports deal places PointsBet at the forefront of some of the biggest global sporting events, including the Olympic Games, NFL, NHL, Premier League soccer, and more. In 2021, PointsBet purchased Banach Technology for $43 million to upgrade its live betting options and accelerate its technology roadmap to align with the growth of sports betting in the United States.

"Most sportsbooks are very similar in what bets they offer and generally have the same odds for the same outcomes," said Streaks Chief Marketing Officer, David Raphael. "PointsBet is differentiating itself by getting creative with how people can wager, so they feel like a natural fit with the Streaks platform where players are used to going more in-depth than just picking a winner."

Streaks contests are designed to help players identify the statistical dynamics of a particular matchup and envision how a game could unfold on a play-by-play basis. The PointsBet partnership will allow Streaks to offer unique opportunities for our players to win money for their nuanced understanding and take their sports gaming to the next level.
